Lemcon has revitalised its long term partnership with Likusasa. Our two companies have a history of cooperation stretching back to 1999 and our joint preparation work on the South African third cellular license (now known as Cell C). Since that time we have both expanded our operations; Likusasa into several African countries and Lemcon Networks into operations spanning more than 40 countries on five continents.
Earlier this year we agreed that the opportunities present in Africa were ideal for a new joint venture bringing our two companies strengths together, allowing us to offer a stronger portfolio of services to our customers across the continent. Whilst Likusasa have a reputation for construction management second to none in their key markets, Lemcon brings a history of strong project management built over many years in projects ranging from equipment swaps to full turnkey operations.
Our first joint project is Phase 2 of the Econet deployment in Zimbabwe where a strong team has been assembled using staff from both companies. This is just the start of our joint adventures and we look forward to an expansion of our work together going into 2010.
